Super Cat World is a demanding 2D platformer that parodies the classic Super Mario saga, except in this case the playable experience is based on trial and error given how terribly and trickily difficult the levels are. The controls in Super Cat World are very simple as you have just three possibilities for movement: with the direction buttons you can move from left to right in the level and with the jump button you can, of course, jump. The ease of these controls might mislead you, though, as Super Cat World is a difficult and dodgy game that will make you pull your hair out before you beat the first level. Very similar to what you'd see in the 'I Wanna Be' series, Super Cat World delivers levels full of hidden traps and dual-purpose obstacles that react totally unpredictably to your steps and will throw you into a continuous state of exhausting paranoia, with even the slightest misstep sending you back to the beginning. Super Cat World is an unmissable game for anyone looking for a challenge and can drive even the most veteran platform gamers to distraction – although it's better to share this experience with friends and split up the suffering in the level design.
